Moldova is one of the economically weakest countries in Europe. Nevertheless, the solidarity and support for the neighbors who fled from Ukraine is overwhelming. Most of them are placed in private accommodation, but after the first few weeks together, many households are running out of funds and food reserves, which are already scarce. This is exactly where the non-profit project 'Frigider Comunitar' - in English: "refrigerator for the community" - comes into play. Volunteers put together packages with the essentials for families in need, especially the elderly and children, in an uncomplicated and efficient manner and deliver them to hundreds of households every day.
